MURANO GLASS - HOW IT ALL BEGAN
 
Since the 12th century, Master glass blowers and their apprentices known as PRIMO SERVENTES have been creating oxides mixed with Silica and Pot Ash to create items of everlasting beauty.
 
Oxides are were prepared in darkened rooms with the Master and his understudy locked away to guard their secret ingredients.  A fascinating insight into the secrecy and mystery that still surrounds the furnaces and the techniques used today.
